Entry passage

Entry passage leading to the stunning area. Made of two 1000 mm high fences, which are parallel to each other, leaving space for the animals to pass through. Each fence has columns with plaques that can be screwed into the floor, with a sheet metal platform.

Rotating pen
System of rotating doors where the sheep enter, which leads to the restrainer or similar.

Made up of:

  • Central column that the rotating doors are attached to.
  • Fences that form a circular pen.
  • Entrance for the animals.
  • Direct exist to the stunning area.
  • The rotating system can be operated manually or using a 0,55 KW motor (which works using a pedal). The movement of the circular fence forces the sheep to move into the stunning area.
  • Made of galvanised steel.

Restrainer sheep

In order to transport and restrain the animal as it moves from the entrance to the stunning area. Made up of:

  • 2 PVC bands to support the animals, placed vertically and operated using 2 1.5 KW gear motors.
  • The width of the bands can be adjusted to fit the size of the animal.
  • Lower passageway.
  • Control panel for the gears that controls any variations in speed.

Halal restrainer

In order to transport and restrain the animal as it moves from the entrance to the stunning area, for Halal slaughter.

Made up ot:

  • 2 metal strips to support the animals, placed vertically and operated using 2 1.1 KW gear motors.
  • Fixed position width regulator for the passageway, adjusted with pins.
  • Lower gutter to collect the blood.
  • There is no gutter for the final 500mm, with a system to wash the metal strips
  • Control panel for the gears that controls any variations in speed.

Made of stainless steel.

• TO WORK USING THE HALAL METHOD:

The animals enter the restrainer, their throats are cut. the blood is collected in the lower gutter as they move forward, and the carcasses are hung up once they are released from the restrainer.

• TO WORK USING THE NON-HALAL METHOD:

The animals enter the restrainer, they are stunned using electricity, and then their throats are cut (on the bleeding rail).

 

 

 

 


Used to restrain the animal while it is stunned via electrical anesthesia.

Made up of:

  • Box measuring 800 mm long x 500 mm wide x 700 mm high.
  • Guillotine doors at the entrance, which work using a pneumatic piston and are operated with a manual valve.
  • There is a hole in the lid to restrain the animal’s head and go ahead with the stunning.
  • Doors at the side, which work using a pneumatic piston and are operated with a manual valve.
  • Constructed on 300 mm legs with plaques on the bottom to anchor them to the floor. This allows the animal to fall and for it to be bled.
  • Protective inner plastic that prevents electrical conduction and ensures the animal is properly stunned Made of stainless steel.

Waiting table

Located at the end of the restraining and stunning system (whether a restrainer or a restraining box is used).
This consists of a table with rollers and wings at the sides for the sheep carcass to fall on while it waits to be hung on the bleeding rail.

This machine is placed at the exit to the stunning area, which allows the animal to be bled horizontally and also for the animals to be transferred onto the bleeding rail.

GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS:

  • Tubular chassis, legs adjustable with a tuning wrench.
  • 2 parallel chains joined together with red polyethylene sheets, which act as a conveyor belt.
  • Useful width of the sheets: 1000 mm. Total width of the belt: 1300 mm.
  • Spray nozzles for cleaning the band.
  • Lower hopper shaped like an inverted V with a side gutter on one side to collect the blood, and a gutter on the other side to collect urine and excrement.
  • Powered by a 1.1 KW gear motor.
  • Electrical control panel with stop and start buttons.
  • Electrical speed controller.

Used to raise stunned animals from the hopper or conveyor belt onto the bleeding rail.

Skinner nuzzle

Pneumatic Skinner Nozzle

Located in the skinning area and used to prepare skin before it enters the skinner,
Consists of a nozzle that pulls the animal’s skin, operated by a pneumatic piston. Operated using a pedal. Includes a strengthened sterilizer for the nozzle.

Machine designed to skin sheep easily, made up of:

  • A vertical rail with a cart that is powered by a hydraulic piston, 1350 mm long.
  • A fixed clip attached to the cart, which opens and closes automatically to grab and roll the animal skin.
  • Rotating hydraulic motor to turn the clip.
  • Powered by a hydraulic unit with a supporting frame, solenoid valves and connecting hoses between the hydraulic unit and the hydraulic pistons.
  • Electrical control panel.
  • Made of AISI-304 stainless steel.
  • Production: between 180 and 240 sheep/hour (depending on the facility).

The arm movements are adjustable, and the following can be modified:

  • Raising speed
  • Lowering speed
  • Rolling speed
  • Unrolling speed

OPERATION:

To start with, the arm is on the upper part of the machine. The animal arrives with the skin slightly removed. The operator places the skin in the open clip.
When the start button is pressed the clip closes, turns and moves down, rolling up the skin around the arm. When the arm reaches the bottom, the skin is completely removed and rolled around the arm. Next, the arm raises up and unrolls the skin until it reaches the upper position.

Can be placed at the different work positions, which allows the operator to reach the different parts of the animal easily.
